Chemical Peel Facials

Targeted exfoliating treatments that improve tone, texture, and clarity. Peels can address fine lines, sun damage, acne, and uneven pigmentation, with options ranging from gentle to deep.

What It Is

Chemical peels are professional exfoliating treatments that use acids to remove damaged outer layers of skin and reveal healthier, more radiant skin underneath. Different peel strengths and formulations target different concerns: superficial peels brighten dull skin and smooth fine texture, medium-depth peels address sun damage, melasma, and acne scarring, and deeper peels treat more advanced signs of aging. Benefits include improved tone and texture, reduced fine lines, fading of dark spots and acne marks, smaller-appearing pores, and a healthy, post-peel glow. We offer a range of peels including glycolic, salicylic, lactic, TCA, and customized blends.

How It Works

Your provider will assess your skin and recommend the appropriate peel strength based on your concerns and skin type. After thorough cleansing, the peel solution is applied evenly to the treatment area. You may feel mild tingling, warmth, or stinging. This is normal and indicates the peel is working. The solution remains on your skin for the prescribed time before being neutralized or self-neutralizing. Treatment takes 30–45 minutes. Depending on the depth, your skin may peel and flake for 3–7 days following treatment. Results continue to improve over the following weeks as new skin emerges.

Ideal Candidate

Chemical peels work for most skin types and concerns: from acne and oily skin to sun damage, melasma, fine lines, and uneven texture. Lighter peels are great for first-timers, while deeper peels address more significant concerns. Peels are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding (depending on the formulation), with active cold sores, on Accutane within the past 6 months, or for clients with very sensitive or compromised skin. We'll recommend the right peel for your skin during consultation.

Aftercare & Recovery

Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily, your new skin will be highly sun-sensitive. Don't pick or peel flaking skin; let it shed naturally. Avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs, and hot water for at least 1 week. Skip strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot showers for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers and rich moisturizers. Stay hydrated. Recovery time depends on peel depth: superficial peels have minimal downtime, while medium peels involve 5–7 days of visible flaking.

Common questions

How much will my skin peel?

It depends on the peel's strength. Light peels may cause minimal flaking, while medium peels typically involve 5–7 days of visible peeling.

Are chemical peels safe for darker skin tones?

Yes, with the right peel selection. We carefully choose formulations safe for melanin-rich skin to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

How often should I get a chemical peel?

Light peels can be done monthly, while medium peels are typically spaced 4–8 weeks apart. We'll create a customized plan.

Will I need to take time off work?

Light peels have minimal downtime. Medium peels involve some visible peeling for several days that you may want to plan around.

Can I wear makeup after a peel?

Avoid makeup for 24 hours after most peels. Once peeling begins, gentle mineral makeup is usually fine.
